Daniel Peterson-English, the Man Infamously Coward Attacked from Behind by Evil Vic Police Sergeant Beau Barrett, Has Died

Sergeant Beau Barrett (right) is the nasty, cowardly, Victoria Police thug who sling-tackled Daniel Peterson-English (right) from behind, causing his head to slam into the ground.
We interrupt our usual programming of reporting on malfeasant SAPOL cops to instead report on a disturbing case involving their equally filthy cousins to the East.
Many readers will have seen the sickening footage from September 2021, during the darkest of days of Melbourne’s lockdowns, showing a slightly built Daniel Peterson-English talking to police at Flinders Station. Another cop cowardly sneaks up behind Peterson-English and performs a violent sling tackle – a technique so dangerous it is banned on Australia’s sports fields.
The brutal attack causes Peterson-English to fall to the ground, his head hitting the concourse with a sickening loud bang as his headphones come flying off. Someone in the train station shouts “Oh sh*t!” in response to the impact, which leaves him unconscious.
There was “blood and urine everywhere” and Daniel was “calling for his mum” when he regained consciousness, the media reported at the time.
The gutless, oxygen-thieving thug who brutally assaulted Daniel was acting Sergeant Beau Barrett, pictured below with his lawyer and female partner.
The 2021 incident, filmed by a bystander, shocked people around the world.
Despite accusations that Peterson‐English was acting aggressively to the police, the video shows him acting in a non-aggressive manner at the time he was coward-attacked by Barrett.
A woman who posted the video at the time said: ‘This poor guy was calm, he was just talking to the police.”
“You can see it in the video then he gets thrown to the ground. You can hear his face hit the tiles,” she said.
After the footage was aired and caused outrage, Barrett was stood down and charged in January, 2022 with recklessly causing injury, unlawful assault and common law assault.
As is so often the case in Australia where the courts show shocking leniency towards blatant police brutality, Barrett was given a free pass by the magistrate.
Magistrate Rob Stary said although Danielʼs arrest was “not in strict accordance with the manual”, a jury, in his view, would not convict Barrett. That should have been for the jury to decide, but Stary – previously a criminal lawyer who represented Tony Mokbel and Carl Williams – seemed determined to prevent that from happening.
While Stary claimed a jury was unlikely to convict Barrett despite the highly incriminating footage seen around the world, lawyers for the Victorian Government believed otherwise. To avoid the likelihood of a successful appeal against Staryʼs decision, Daniel was given a confidential payout and subjected to a strict gag order.

Prior to the sneak attack by the sociopathic Barrett, the VicPol brown shirts had slapped Daniel with a fine for not wearing a mask, even though he had a medical exemption. Quite understandably, this agitated Daniel, who had mental health issues.
According to media reports, a recording was played in court which revealed Peterson-English calling the police “Nazis”, “dogs” and “pigs” during the tirade.
We agree that Daniel should not have called the police “dogs” and “pigs” – that is a grave insult to pigs and man’s best friend.
The “Nazi” label was thoroughly deserved, considering the manner in which Victorian police officers enthusiastically stalked and bashed innocent people during the Covid tyranny, even arresting pregnant women and breaking down people’s doors if their social media posts upset the psychotic Chairman Dan.
Daniel wasn’t taking his prescribed anti-psychotic medication at the time of the incident and refused to be treated by paramedics.
The prosecution argued Barrett used disproportionate force when he tackled the slim-built man to the ground using a technique that was not approved or taught during police training.
“It’s not a snap, in the heat of the moment decision, he has time to contemplate his actions,” the prosecution told the court.
“The complainant was standing, talking to another sergeant, there was no perceived threat by others at the time.”
One of the excuses used by Barrett’s lawyer was that, at the time of his brutal coward attack on Daniel, Barrett was “upset” about a child murder case he was reportedly involved in. Which is seriously some of the dumbest shit we’ve ever heard. Since when has it been excusable for cops to deal with the stress of a murder case by going out and trying to kill someone else?
Barrett was not dealing with stress when he coward attacked Daniel Peterson‐English. Like so many of his sociopath colleagues, he was enthusiastically taking full advantage of the green light Victoria Police had been given by the Andrews regime to brutally suppress any hint of resistance to Victoria’s fraudulent Covid tyranny.
Daniel Peterson-English Has Sadly Passed Away
The sad news has just came through that Daniel recently passed away.
He died in Melbourne on March 15, 2025, aged 32.
A coroner’s report into the causes of Daniel’s death will be released in June 2025.
Mark Tarrant, a Sydney-based lawyer and filmmaker who made a film called Covid Safe – Domestic Violence By The State, which featured Mr Peterson-English, described him as ‘kind hearted’.
“Margaret’s very much down about what’s happened to her son, and it’s not easy for Margaret,” Mr Tarrant said.
Mr Peterson-English’s lawyer Kim Bainbridge claimed the heavy tackle his client suffered was followed by a “severe psychiatric reaction”.
“He had pre-existing mental health issues which have been exacerbated by the trauma that he suffered at the hands of this police officer,” he said in 2022.
Mr Peterson-English told Melbourne Magistrates’ Court he lived with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Victorian Libertarian MP David Limbrick said Mr Peterson-English didn’t deserve his treatment on the day he was put to the ground.
‘Nobody deserved to be treated like he was at Flinders Street Station,’ he said.“I think it is really important we reflect on this dark period in our history and how people were treated as second-class citizens. This should never happen again.”
