Ex-District Court Judge Timothy Heffernan Reprimanded Over Sexual Harassment at Staff Party

One of the more recent judicial sexual deviants to be unmasked is disgraced former DPP prosecutor and District Court judge Timothy James Heffernan.

Heffernan was recently “reprimanded” by the Legal Profession Conduct Commissioner, whose inefficiency is the stuff of legend.

It all started when Heffernan, being a sleazy self-entitled twat like so many judges are, thought it would be a great idea to sexually harass female colleagues at a staff party.

He used the excuse that he was under the influence of prescription medication and alcohol.

In other words, Heffernan got sloshed, which we submit is not very mature nor becoming behaviour for a man of the bench.

Heffernan, who stood down from the bench in 2023 after becoming the subject of a top-level investigation into allegations of sexual harassment, was reprimanded for professional misconduct last month.

Legal Profession Conduct Commissioner Anthony Keane reprimanded Heffernan after he found the former judge to have engaged in “inappropriate personal conduct”.

That conduct, Keane ruled in a finding on October 30, was of a “sexually harassing nature directed to female colleagues at a work social function whilst under the influence of prescription medication and alcohol”.

Keane did not publicly publish his full decisions for reprimanding Heffernan.

Because even when these clowns are ‘disciplining’ each other, they look out for each other.

Heffernan, who was appointed to the District Court bench in 2021, was directed away from the workplace by Chief Judge Michael Evans when a Judicial Conduct Commissioner inquiry was launched in January 2023.

Heffernan was formerly a judge of the Federal Circuit Court for six years before being appointed to the District Court.

Prior to that he was a criminal barrister at Edmund Barton Chambers and prior to that he was a senior prosecutor at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Heffernan is only the second sitting District Court judge to resign while the subject of an investigation.

In 2012, Judge Mark Griffin sensationally resigned amid an investigation by anti-corruption branch detectives into his use of sex workers.

Griffin, who passed away in 2019, quit after being questioned by detectives, who also raided his Royston Park home, his office and a brothel in the eastern suburbs. Griffin was a regular visitor to the whorehouse, which charged $100 per hour for its services.

We would like to point out at this juncture that Griffin was hardly the only member of the legal fraternity to patronize brothels, which are also quite popular with politicians. The cops also love brothels, because they are an easy extortion target; in addition to bag money the filthy filth also demand free sexual favours from the workers.

Griffin, like many magistrates and judges, was also highly sympathetic towards pedophiles. In 2011, he gifted former teacher and scout leader Mark Clive Wildy a mere 18 months non-parole for sexually abusing a child.

In November 2022, Magistrate Simon Milazzo was sacked after a judicial conduct panel – recommended by then Judicial Conduct Commissioner Ann Vanstone KC – concluded he engaged in inappropriate and sexual misconduct towards four female subordinates while in office.

It found that he had, over a multi-year period, sexually harassed and behaved inappropriately toward four female subordinates.

In December 2021, sleazeball ex-magistrate Robert “Dodgey Bob” Harrap was jailed for corruption offences. This nasty asshole was dating a similarly corrupt SAPOL prosecutor named Abigail “Abi” Rebecca Foulkes, while sexually harassing his assistant. These two self-absorbed assholes now expect us to feel sorry for them.
