SA Police officer Jordan Lloyd Koch Found Guilty of Raping Teenage Girl
The name of a SAPOL detective who raped a 15 year old girl can now be revealed.
Jordan Lloyd Koch is the latest grub from the SAPOL cesspool to be unmasked as a sex predator. A longstanding suppression order was lifted yesterday, allowing Koch to be identified.
Koch, 37, of Springton, was found guilty at trial of one count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a person under 17 years and two counts of indecent assault.
Koch maintained his innocence, but Judge Liesl Kudelka said his evidence “lacks credibility” and sounded “scripted and rehearsed”.
Upon receiving his guilty verdict, the pathetic Koch sank to his seat and cried into his hands.
Koch’s self-pity stunned his victim. “Just know that the way you felt in that moment does not even compare to what I’ve endured over the past two years,” she said.
On Wednesday, the victim said she had only survived intense psychological trauma, eating disorders and bouts of self-harm caused by Koch’s abuse, thanks to the support of her family.
Her elder sister told the court that Koch’s actions were inexcusable.
“You were a police officer whose duty was to uphold the law and protect the community,” she said.
“You were in a position of power … you have shown the highest level of police misconduct.”
“You abused your power and your privilege and violated a child … what you did to my sister is vile and disgusting.”
The victim’s other sister said Koch had shown “a complete disregard for the law”.
“I can only presume that you were under the impression that being an SA Police officer would provide you with a shield of protection,” she said.
Koch, 37, met the then 15-year-old girl while managing his friend’s pizza shop. The teenager was working at the shop for her first job.
The court heard Koch spent months grooming her before raping her in his car.
Koch’s lawyer, David Edwardson, tried arguing his offence was out of character.
“There is every reason to believe, given his past conduct, that this is an aberration,” he said.
“The court can be reasonably satisfied that, when released, the likelihood of reoffending is almost non-existent.”
To the contrary, sexual predation is a way of life at SAPOL, and Koch was clearly one of the many SAPOL sleazeballs who thought he was above the law. A 2016 Equal Opportunity Commission report found sexual predation is far more common at SAPOL compared to other workplaces.
SAPOL cops aren’t generally the sharpest tools in the shed, but Koch knew very well what he was doing was wrong. He sent his victim a series of creepy, sleazy texts, then told her to delete the Snapchat messages.
Koch the predator is a father of four.
Koch’s bail was revoked on Wednesday. He will be sentenced next week.
