A northern suburbs woman charged with abusing her public office position has appeared in court for the first time.
Fiona Catherine Riley, 44, of Virginia, appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on January 25 charged with two counts of fail to act honestly as a public sector employee and one count of public officer use information to secure benefit.
It is alleged that Ms Riley was working as a contractor engaged by South Australia Police in Elizabeth at the time of the offences.
It will be alleged the offences took place over the space of 14 months and began in December of 2021.
Documents also revealed Riley allegedly improperly used information that she gained by virtue of her office with the intention of causing injury or detriment to another person.
Riley was remanded on continuing bail to return to the Elizabeth Magistrates Court in March.
