Gaurav Kundi, who was placed on life support after being violently assaulted by SAPOL thugs two weeks ago, passed away today.

The 42-year-old husband and father had his life support switched off in the Royal Adelaide Hospital this morning.

Gaurav became unresponsive during a violent arrest by aggressive, incompetent SAPOL thugs on Payneham Road at Royston Park in the early hours of May 29.

CCTV footage shows Gaurav was so inebriated he could barely stand upright, yet it took a platoon of these clowns to deal with the situation. Media reports said “up to eight” SAPOL officers attended the scene.

Try reporting a burglary, theft or even a home invasion in progress and see if you can get eight of these oxygen thieves to show up.

Footage shows two of these cowards manhandling Gaurav, with one kicking him and then tripping him to the ground.

It was the latest in a long line of incidents where the bad-tempered, poorly trained goons at South Australia Police have shown up and turned a minor matter into a major incident.

At a press conference today, SAPOL Clown-in-Chief Grant Stevens tried his hand at damage control.

He claimed a SAPOL cop investigating the incident has viewed body worn camera footage of the incident and said officers did not force Gaurav’s head against their car or the road, nor did they kneel on his neck.

When a journalist asked how he came to lose consciousness, old mate Grantley replied “I won’t elaborate on the type of the restraints used during the incident”.

A journalist then asked if Gaurav’s family would be allowed to view this body cam footage, which they had requested in writing to do. Stevens said they would not be allowed to view the footage during the investigation, which will be conducted at the glacial speed of SAPOL. He said it “may be something that would be considered in the future”.

When a journalist reminded Stevens “there was a witness to this all who filmed some of it happening as well the end of it when he was under CPR” and that NO detectives or police had spoken to him yet, Grantley played dumb – something we suspect comes naturally to him.

“I’m not aware of that um I would expect that any witness to the incident uh regardless of how peripheral they might be would be contacted and their their information sought by the investigating team”.

You can only expect SAPOL to contact witnesses if it suits them. If it doesn’t, the witnesses will either be ignored or told to shut up.

When barrister, ex-cop and total cretin Eugene McGee got drunk and mowed down innocent cyclist Ian Humphrey in a fatal 2003 hit and run, Tony and John Zisimou were among the first people to stop at the scene. Shortly before the collision, the Gawler brothers saw McGee’s Mitsubishi Pajero driving erratically and swaying over the centre line at a speed of about 160 km/h in a 110 km/h zone.

What followed was a massive cover up in which McGee’s mates at SAPOL pretended they couldn’t find him, did not get him to submit to any alcohol testing, showed little interest in the Zisimous and did not call either of them as trial witnesses despite their willingness to testify.

So it is very concerning when we learn of a witness to what is now a lethal police assault and that no-one from SAPOL has made any effort to talk to him.

None of the officers involved in this disgraceful incident have been stood down while the investigation takes place, which means there are “up to eight” of these murderers and accomplices to murder loose in our streets. We would love to identify them so the public can take necessary measures to protect themselves when they see these violent criminals in their vicinity, but SAPOL is keeping their identity secret.

Our thoughts are with the family of Gaurav Kundi, who came to Australia in search of a better life, only to have that dream shattered by a pack of violent, unprofessional goons.
