SAPOL Recruitment Drive Mistakenly Directs Officers to Interstate Police Force

The clowns at SAPOL can’t do enough to prove they’re a bunch of incompetent morons.

Removing basic spelling and arithmetic standards, recklessly crashing cars into private property as part of ‘road safety’ ads, proudly declaring they are replacing fine quotas with … fine quotas, tasering knife-disarming Good Samaritans who achieved in less than a minute what a bunch of goons can’t do after an hour of hysterically yelling and screaming – there’s no end to SAPOL’s efforts to prove what a bunch of incompetent, overpaid, underqualified twats they are.

Now comes the news that SAPOL’s desperate new police recruitment drive designed to lure former officers back to the job has instead sent interested inquiries interstate.

South Australia Police wrote last month to hundreds of retired or “separated” officers who have left the force over the past five years pleading with them to “consider a return” to the rank and file.

But thanks to a blunder that has left the force red-faced, potential recruits who rang the number on the letter were put through to Tasmania Police’s recruitment section rather than SAPOL’s.

Despite recipients alerting SAPOL to the error, the blunder was not fixed for days.

A SAPOL spokeswoman blamed an “administrative oversight” after the letter was copied from their Tasmanian colleagues.

The interstate number is listed on Tasmania Police’s website and identified through an internet search.

A Tasmania Police spokeswoman said it had received “several calls” from former SA police members.

While it was not actively poaching SA officers, she added: “If any serving or recently separated police officers love the job but want a lifestyle change, they should contact Tasmania Police recruiting on 1800 628 680.”

The screw-up arose when SAPOL copied a letter used by Tasmania Police during one of their recruitment drives.

The SAPOL genius tasked with plagiarising the letter also mindlessly copied the Tassie phone number.

A Tasmanian Police spokesman added: “Recruiting has received several calls from former members of South Australia Police and these people were provided with suitable advice.

“Additionally, Tasmania Police contacted South Australia Police to advise them of the situation.”

“While Tasmania Police has not actively tried to recruit police officers from South Australia on this occasion, we regularly have officers from all jurisdictions in Australia and New Zealand joining Tasmania Police through our Accelerated Training Program.”

Police Minister Michael Brown confirmed he had nothing intelligent to say on the matter by telling the press recruitment was an “operational matter”.
