Disgraceful SAPOL Goons Taser Good Samaritan – Then Lie About What Happened

On 7 July 2026, SAPOL once again displayed their sheer incompetence in dealing with mental health incidents.

They had attended a Mansfield Park street where a man in an agitated state was wielding a knife.

According to the incurable bullshitters at SAPOL, the officers attempted to “negotiate” with the man for almost an hour.

“Negotiate” is SAPOLspeak for screaming and yelling at the man to “PUT THE KNIFE DOWN OR WE’LL SHOOT!!!”

Because we all know how well yelling and screaming at a mentally ill person works.

While the SAPOL goons were acting like wannabe commandos, Good Samaritan neighbour and certified good bloke Mark Grabsch came out to see what all the fuss was about.

When he looked out into the street he recognised the man as one of his neighbours.

Within a few seconds, Mark proceeded to do what the poorly trained clowns from SAPOL hadn’t been able to do in almost an hour.

He walked up to the man, talked to him, reassured and calmed him, got the knife, gave the man a hug, then threw the knife into some nearby bushes.

Mark basically did the cops’ job for them. He successfully defused the situation without anyone getting hurt. No-one became “unresponsive” and died after being asphyxiated by over-adrenalised goons.

It was the best possible outcome and a true Good Samaritan act worthy of applause.

You’d think the cops would be eminently grateful to Mark.

But SAPOL, as we know, are a bunch of evil cretins.

Instead of saying “good job mate, thank you” to Mark, the assholes from SAPOL proceeded to taser him!

In the footage below, what appears to be a female cop to the left of the screen fires her taser at Mark for no reason. The other officers can also be seen aiming their tasers at Mark despite the threat having been removed.

Mark suffered a broken collarbone when he hit the ground, and the footage shows it could have been even worse as his head came very close to smacking against the footpath when he fell.

There was no valid reason whatsoever to taser Mark.

So the fetid liars at SAPOL then proceeded to do what they always do when they screw up royally – they lied through their teeth.

The shamelessly corrupt and dishonest SAPOL claimed Mark had “hindered” police and refused to put the knife down.

SCUMPOL claimed the taser was deployed after a “member of the public disobeyed police direction”.

“(They) refused to put the knife down when directed and was subsequently tasered,” a statement read.

Well, that’s bullshit.

CCTV footage of the incident shows a full six seconds passed from the moment Mark threw the knife into a nearby garden to when the SAPOL clown tasered him.

Mark has spoken out over the police decision to taser him, saying he was trying to help prevent anyone from being hurt.

“I don’t know why they did that to me,” he told 9News.

“I intervened because I didn’t want to see any harm to him or anyone else.”

“I just walked up to him calmly and just said ‘please give me the knife I’m not going to let anyone hurt you’ and he gave me the knife and I threw it behind him on the pathway.”

After Mark fell and broke his collar bone, the vile scum from SAPOL handcuffed him.

“I should never have been tasered,” he told the broadcaster.

“I didn’t speak to police, I didn’t threaten police, I didn’t say anything to police. All I did was remove the knife and de-escalate the situation.”

Mark said he was considering legal action saying he believed “my actions were to save him and anyone else that may have been injured and being a friend to someone that was in need.”

Getting clowns to do a professional’s job is a bad idea

This incident further highlights the dangers of having mental health incidents attended by rank-and-file morons who can’t count or spell. Considering that Australia is a country with a very high incidence of mental illness and drug abuse, Australian cops need to receive far better instruction on how to deal with mental health incidents.

The current rroutine response of simply pointing guns and tasers and screaming like angry idiots just doesn’t cut it.

According to a recent Washington Post analysis, Americans with mental illnesses make up nearly a quarter of those killed by police officers.

In Australia, the figures are even worse. A report from the Australian Institute of Criminology, found 42% of people shot by police between 1989-90 and 2010-11 had a mental illness, with psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia being the most common.

As Ron Bruno, a veteran US officer who helps lead a group, CIT International, that teaches police and communities how to better interact with individuals in a mental heath crisis, stated:

“We have to challenge the belief that mental health crisis services must come in a police car.”

Several US communities have moved to reduce police involvement by creating systems that attempt to minimize law enforcement. The “Air Traffic Controller Approach” uses a designated suicide prevention and crisis line separate from 911 for mental health emergencies. Bruno notes that 80 percent or more of 911 calls don’t require a police response. It’s likely many mental health-related calls could be triaged by phone, too.
